Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Bakersfield. This role is ideal for accounting professionals with strong experience in GAAP financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, audits, and internal controls. Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
3-5 years of consecutive professional accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
Experience managing month-end close processes
Knowledge of internal controls, audits, compliance, and reconciliations
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry experience in Agriculture or Oil & Gas
Experience supporting both internal and external audits
Background in budget analysis and financial statement preparation
