Details\n \n Acute care setting in a High Acuity ICU with 8 beds \n Nurse:patient ratio of 1:2-3 \n Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, post-surgical, wound care, IV antibiotics, post-CVA, post-trauma, and cardiac patients \n Care of PEG tubes, CVC/PICC/midline lines, tracheostomy patients, and sedated/ventilated patients \n RNs required to titrate drips including Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, and Cardizem \n House Supervisor available 24/7; nurses provide primary care with no aides/techs on unit \n Hospitalist on dayshift only, with tele-health MD available after hours \n RT available in-house 24/7 with hands-on ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment management \n Telemetry monitoring via hardwired Philips monitors, centrally monitored by a dedicated tech \n 12-hour night shifts, 7pm-7:30am \n Every other weekend required, plus additional shifts to fill scheduling gaps \n Holiday rotation required, plus additional shifts to fill scheduling gaps \n Floating to Med-Surg unit required \n EPIC EMR used \n Requirements\n \n Active IL RN license required \n BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required \n Minimum 1 year of experience required \n Experience titrating ICU-level drips including vasopressors, sedation, and pain control medications required \n Experience with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/midline line management, and tracheostomy care required \n BSN not required \n Must pass a negative drug screen for all panels \n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct critical care nursing to sedated and ventilated ICU patients \n Assist with ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment beyond troubleshooting \n Orientation includes classroom training per facility policy plus 2 preceptored shifts on the unit \n Scrubs required in any color, only facility-approved t-shirts permitted \n Local candidates accepted; reduced local rate applies to clinicians residing within 50 miles of the facility \n No radius restriction for baseline eligibility \n COVID vaccination not required \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-752164.
