Hospice Certified Nurse Aide

Location: Dallas, TX (Addison)Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in their place of residence in accordance with the patient’s plan of care. The CNA works under the supervision of a nurse and supports patients with activities of daily living while promoting patient comfort, dignity, and safety. The CNA plays an important role in supporting hospice patients and families by assisting with daily care needs and reporting changes in patient condition to the clinical team.This role requires strong patient care skills, compassion, reliability, and the ability to work as part of the hospice care team.Qualifications:Current state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) requiredHospice, home health, long-term care, or healthcare experience preferredStrong communication and patient care skillsAbility to follow patient care plans and instructions from nursing staffAbility to work independently in a home or facility settingReliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto liability insuranceAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishEssential Functions:Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistanceAssist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the plan of careDocument patient care and observations accurately and timelyReport changes in patient condition or environment to supervising nursePromote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and independenceMaintain a clean and safe patient environmentFollow infection control and safety procedures in all patient care activitiesAssist with safe transfers and mobility using proper lifting techniquesAttend in-service training and maintain CNA certification requirementsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and interdisciplinary team membersFollow company policies, procedures, and patient care standardsPerform other related duties as assignedExcellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package.Please visit cantexcc.com for more information on this location.#HCBSLP #J-18808-Ljbffr Elysian-Hospice
