Surface Type Commander Duties
You will serve as the Surface Type Commander and ships primary point of contact in coordinating efforts of all maintenance and planning activities in support of off-ship repairs for assigned ships.
You will serve as a Port Engineer for assigned ships.
You will provide assessment regarding the planning, implementation, operations, evaluation and extension of new ship maintenance/management.
You will develop and prioritize work packages.
You will coordinate scheduling of technical support activities.
You will develop and present risk assessed evaluation of new or growth work modifications during negotiations.
You will serve as the ships technical expert for all ship maintenance and repair requirements.
You will provide technical assistance to other Port Engineers as required.
