Physician Advisor, Hospital Medicine - Staten Island University Hospital

Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) is seeking a Physician Advisor to join our Hospital Medicine team. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician leader who is passionate about clinical excellence, utilization management, care coordination, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality, efficient patient care. Highlights of the role include: Serve as a key liaison between medical staff, case management, utilization review, and hospital leadership Provide physician leadership in level of care determinations, medical necessity reviews, denial prevention, and appeals Partner with hospitalists, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote appropriate resource utilization and regulatory compliance Support initiatives that improve throughput, length of stay, documentation integrity, and patient outcomes Collaborate with quality, revenue cycle, and care management teams on process improvement strategies Opportunity to work within a respected and growing Hospital Medicine program Northwell Health is New York State's largest health care provider and private employer, with 28 hospitals and 1,050 outpatient facilities.
