Ticket SellerASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Ticket Seller at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under direction of the Box Office Manager & Director of Finance, the Part Time Ticket Seller team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to courteously interact with the public face to face.Open and/or closes ticket window as requiredAccurately issue tickets purchased by patrons; accepts payment and makes change accurately.Accurate accounting for ticket revenue.Maintain a cash drawer.Provide information to the public regarding tickets and facility events.Direct ticketing issues to the Box Office Manager/Director of Finance.Maintain a professional and polite relationship with co-workers, clients, and the public.Maintain an organized work area in a professional, neat and clean manner.Adhere to Box Office policy and procedures.Assist customers with Will Call tickets for events.Accept payment and make change before giving tickets to customer.Ability to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance.Provide accurate answers concerning events, tickets and schedules of upcoming events in person or on the telephone.Balances cash and card drawer with manager at the end of each shift.All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.Ticket ScannerOther duties may be assigned.Working ConditionsThe working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. PART-TIME/ON-CALL scheduling (regular ticket sell hours Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM and other hours may be required.There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.Ability to sit for long periods of time.Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.Maintain a client service oriented attitude.Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays and can work flexible schedulesQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must beable to interact successfully with all coworkers and the general public.Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & workers.Must be able to work assigned shifts including, nights, weekends & holidays as needed.Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative.Follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergence procedures established at the facility.Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying up to 25 pounds, moving, climbing, walking and able to sit for long periods of time.Must have sufficient math ability and knowledge to accurately count and handle money at all times.Must have basic working knowledge of cash handling procedure and have at least 1 year cash handling experience.Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers.No certifications are required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
