Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Ortho / Neuro

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (minimum Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients with a focus on orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:6–7 nurse-to-patient ratio during night shift hours
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health record system
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS certification
• Willingness to work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
• Prior experience in orthopedic and/or neurological patient care strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
