Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Arlington, Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit requiring an active VA or Compact license and recent EPIC experience.Details\n \n Work in a medical cardiac step-down unit (6B, Cardiac Tele) with 24 rooms and a 1:5 patient ratio\n Care for adult to geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, MI, unstable angina, pericardial disease, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD issues, and post-cardiac catheterization patients\n Unit also cares for med/surg patients\n Night shift schedule of 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00), working 36 or 48 hours per week\n 13-week assignment length\n Floating required in rotation with client staff per facility policy\n On-call may apply in certain areas such as OT, IR, and Cath Lab\n Requirements\n \n Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration\n BLS and ACLS certification required\n Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required\n Cardiac telemetry experience within the past year required\n EPIC experience of 6+ months within the past 12 months required\n Must attend EPIC training class unless previously employed at the facility within the past 6 months\n Additional Information\n \n Provide telemetry nursing care to cardiac and med/surg patients on a step-down unit\n Complete up to 7 hours of non-billable training modules during orientation\n Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions subject to CMS guideline compliance\n COVID vaccination or qualified exemption required, subject to CMS guideline compliance\n Smoke/nicotine-free facility\n Previous staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler\n RTO must be submitted upfront and is approved at manager discretion; minimal RTO requests preferred and some holiday coverage expected\n On-call staff must reside within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757667.
