Franklin Street is currently seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field and seven or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or related fields. To be successful at this role, the ideal candidate must have a data-driven approach to decision making, strong leadership skills, experience utilizing AI and automation tools to improve reporting and analysis processes. Real estate, insurance, brokerage, or professional services experience preferred but not required.

Position Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager serves as a strategic business partner to executive leadership by leading the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-range planning processes. This role provides actionable financial insights, develops analytical tools and reporting solutions, and supports critical business decisions that drive growth and profitability across the organization. The position works closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, and operational leaders while overseeing FP&A processes, systems, and team development.

1. Lead the company's annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
2. Manage the FP&A team and oversee departmental priorities, workload, development, and performance.
3. Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
4. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
5. Analyze actual results, budgets, forecasts, and prior year performance to identify trends and business drivers.
6. Partner with business line leaders to evaluate financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
7. Develop profitability analyses by office, service line, and business segment.
8. Support growth initiatives, acquisitions, investments, and capital allocation decisions.
9. Lead the annual operating plan process, including calendar management, assumptions, guidelines, and presentations.
10. Drive reporting automation and process improvements using financial systems, business intelligence tools, and AI technologies.
11. Serve as the business owner for financial planning and reporting systems, including NSPB, NetSuite, Power BI, and related platforms.
12. Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting to support operational decision-making.
13. Provide financial support for special projects and strategic initiatives.

Team Management:

• Lead, coach, and develop the Financial Planning & Analysis team by establishing clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and supporting ongoing professional development.
• Onboard, train, and retain high-performing finance professionals while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and results-oriented work environment.
• Assign and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis activities.
• Conduct performance evaluations, create development plans, and address performance issues in accordance with company policies.
• Mentor team members in financial modeling, variance analysis, business partnering, and the effective use of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration by partnering with Accounting, Operations, Sales, Human Resources, and executive leadership to support organizational objectives.
• Drive continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and increase team efficiency through automation and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable financial reporting standards while maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Foster a culture of accountability, analytical thinking, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or related fields.
• Experience supporting executive leadership and strategic decision-making.
• Experience within multi-entity organizations preferred.
• Real estate, insurance, brokerage, or professional services experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle NSPB (or comparable budgeting and forecasting solutions) and business intelligence platforms preferred.
• Experience utilizing AI and automation tools to improve reporting and analysis processes.
• SQL, data analytics, and reporting automation experience preferred.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to executives and operational leaders.
