Business Analyst – ALIP
Location: San Antonio, Texas Hybrid (Based on Client Requirement) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Information Technology / Insurance Technology Experience Required: 7–10 Years
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong ALIP (Client Life Insurance Platform) expertise to join a growing insurance technology team. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful delivery of ALIP implementations and enhancements while supporting life insurance business processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, requirements management expertise, and hands-on experience working within life insurance administration platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for ALIP implementations and enhancements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder meetings, and business process discussions.
- Create and maintain requirement traceability matrices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and business validation activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with life insurance business processes, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Assist with change management, user training, and production support activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of Business Analysis experience within enterprise software implementations.
- Hands-on experience with ALIP (Client Life Insurance Platform).
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance products, policy administration, and insurance business workflows.
- Experience creating functional requirements, process flows, use cases, and business documentation.
- Proven experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirement sessions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments.
- Knowledge of policy administration systems and insurance technology ecosystems.
- Familiarity with test planning, defect management, and release processes.
- Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
