Details Work in the OCH Stepdown unit of a hospital setting Level I trauma center environment Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Requirements Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact/eNLC) required Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required ICU experience required Level I trauma experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Additional Information Provide nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatments Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Delegate tasks to support staff as needed Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Local candidates within the radius are not eligible for this position Returning travelers may only extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked American Traveler Job ID P-748863.
