Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Portland, Maine, with a focus on Medical Telemetry and Intensive Medical Care (IMC). The role involves providing specialized patient care in a fast-paced environment, with candidates required to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field.

Job Details:

• Location: Portland, ME
• Shift: Nights and Days (WEEKENDS), with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, minimum of 0 years of experience, must have Ventilator experience for IMC RNs, and experience with tracheostomy care and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Yes. IMC RNs may float to other IMC units and med/surg units as needed, based on skill and unit needs. Med/surg RNs may float to similar level of care units.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient care will include respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and various acute on chronic conditions.
  • Equipment includes ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance.
  • EMR system used is Epic.
  • Unprofessional attire or clothing with non-hospital-related logos is not permitted.
