Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Summary: The Assistant Manager at SafeSplash Swim School is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and high-energy environment for students, families, and staff. This role involves managing staff on duty, ensuring all duties are completed throughout the shift, handling customer relationships, maintaining pool operations, and supporting general business functions, including iClassPro operations.

Compensation: $18- $20 per hour

Responsibilities:

Staff & Shift Management:

• Manage staff on duty, ensuring all assigned duties are completed throughout the shift, including cleaning and restocking.
• Oversee and support team members to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
• Ensure all shifts are covered for callouts, adjusting schedules as necessary.
• Conduct lessons as needed to support staff coverage.
• Conduct incident reports and file as needed.
• Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to the Emergency Action Plan (EAP)
• Responsible for opening and closing the facility as needed alongside another manager or solo. 

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build strong relationships with prospective and enrolled families to understand their needs and preferences.
• Conduct tours and educate prospective families on our swim programs.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.
• Implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage phone calls and respond to inquiries related to class schedules, enrollment, and general swim school operations.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized front of house area.
• Assist in attending any marketing events.

iClassPro Operations & Administrative Tasks:

• Manage iClassPro operations, including new enrollments, class transfers, level- ups, and billing inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to SafeSplash’s terms and conditions regarding enrollment, payments, and class policies.

Pool Operations:

• Oversee daily pool operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Check and adjust pool chemicals three times per day and log properly.
• Assist in facility cleaning, including backwashing, cleaning baskets, water drains, power washing, deep cleaning mats, cleaning chrome, and floors. Must implement a plan that follows a proper maintenance schedule.
• Participate in holiday closure cleaning (must attend a minimum of three business days).
• Maintain a clean and well-organized pool area.

Curriculum Management:

• Ensure curriculum cards are updated weekly and accurately reflect student progress.
• Update students’ skills in iClassPro and ensure all employees complete curriculum cards daily.
• Help conduct Splash and Tell events monthly, including passing out ribbons to kids who level up, taking pictures for social media.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a lifeguard, pool management, or facility operations preferred.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with children and families.
• CPR and Lifeguard certifications.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate business demands.
