Overview Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers in Gonzales, LA. With over 2,000 locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Responsibilities — Assistant Manager The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure the retail location operates efficiently, safely and effectively. They enforce established policies, procedures and standards, schedule mechanics/technicians' work, manage outside orders, ensure quality and timely completion of jobs, meet customer expectations, and maintain the safety of team members. Responsibilities — Service Manager The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections and recommends necessary under-car repair services. They direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians and stage vehicle repair/maintenance work. They drive sales initiatives, communicate with customers, assess customer needs, provide information regarding repairs and maintenance, and strive to meet customer expectations and ensure satisfaction with the in-store experience. To be eligible for Automotive Assistant / Service Manager, you must: (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess one of the following: (i) 1 year of experience or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, (ii) 1 year of experience or training in automotive repairs/maintenance, or (iii) any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
