The Director of Emergency Services is the designated leader for the ED. Position is responsible for the patient population and assigned staff. The Director plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the unit activities. He/She provides direction, support and guidance to the Nursing staff and aids in their development both clinically and professionally. The ED Director serves as Facility Coordinator for Emergency Preparedness. Responsible for 24-hour accountability. Population: Patients with life-threatening emergent, urgent, semi-urgent and non-urgent conditions of all ages served within the department, neonates to geriatrics.
