The dentist will provide professional, high-quality dental diagnosis, treatment and education to a broad range of patients, including children, adolescents and adults.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides hands-on dental care in a variety of settings while achieving the highest levels of appropriateness, quality, efficiency, accessibility and responsivenessMaintains full appointment schedule for office practice and other settingsProvides a full range of general dental services within the dentist's defined scope of trainingUtilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment techniquesRefers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriatePrescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens as appropriateDirects and coordinates the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff as requiredFollows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards. Maintains necessary credentialing, licensure and continuing education requirementsRequired Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/RegistrationDDS or DMD degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in general dentistry. Previous dental practice experience with low income/underserved communities preferred.Current licensure in the state of OhioValid DEA licenseCurrent CPR/AED certificationSalary commensurate with experience.
