Construction Project Manager - Data Center Substation

The OnSite Delivery PM owns execution of all onsite energy infrastructure, translating approved designs into constructible packages and driving fieldready alignment across utility, GC, and owner teams. They are accountable for drawing reviews, constructability resolution, and onsite schedule integration, ensuring utility, substation, transmission tieins, and DC site work remain aligned to the critical path. The role focuses on managing daytoday schedule risk, sequencing, and issue resolution in the field to protect energization milestones and turnover dates.

Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
• Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
• Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.


pay rate 35-80/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
• 5 years experience required.

Background:
Electrical engineering foundation with handson field execution exposure, Utility and EPC experience strongly preferred and hyperscale delivery experience a plus.

Skills:
Handson experience reviewing electrical / civil drawings (substations, transmission, MV/HV distribution), resolving comments, driving constructability decisions, and translating design intent into fieldready packages.
Power Delivery
Proven experience owning and integrating utility, EPC, and site construction schedules; identifying critical path, sequencing work, driving recovery plans, and protecting energization milestones in fasttrack environments.
Technical Drawing & Constructability


Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer is a plus.
PMI or PMP certification preferred
