Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $1,310 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel We're looking for a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Fort Worth, TX. The right CRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements. Responsibilities Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients. Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze the sample according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuity of care for the patient being treated. Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds comfortably, with potential lifting of patients up to 50 pounds at times. Must have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience. Certifications: NBRC-CRT, BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Compensation Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
