2nd shift - (10% shift differential on top of base pay)

Responsible for set-up and operation of an offset press with the ability to produce high quality products from a basic to semi-complex layout as per job jacket instructions. Must be able to set-up and produce according to standards and pre-determined run times.

Maintains clean work area.

Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.

Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.

Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.

Must have the ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1 mm.

Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment.

Retrieves or receives necessary materials such as paper, inks, plates, etc. and sets up press in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements.

Secures approvals before running job and then solves problems to ensure quality is excellent; seeks help as needed.

Operates press and constantly monitors work to produce quality product that is color correct, in registration and meets customer requirements.

Works closely with team to ensure product is proper and of a quality expected of CCL.

Maintains work to meet schedules, ship dates, and deadlines.

Assists in training others and works closely with all departments.

Operates hand truck and hand tools.

Must be able to work independently, without assistance.

Applies mechanical ability to adjust press and to troubleshoot various problems.

Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.

Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Ability to read and write comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Ability to address issues involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to effectively communicate ideas, information and or work assignments with co-workers and management as needed.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1mm.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.

Frequently required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear.

Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds.

Requires constant movement and bending.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, chemicals and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
