Senior Accountant

Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPCC) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will oversee financial reporting and the close process for a diverse real estate investment portfolio, including complex, multi-entity structures.

What You'll Do

1. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for assigned portfolios
2. Prepare GAAP financial statements, along with lender and investor reporting
3. Support investment-level audits, including audit schedules and responding to auditor requests
4. Review property-level financials for accuracy, compliance, and reasonableness
5. Analyze financial results and prepare variance analysis, investigating discrepancies
6. Maintain portfolio data and records within Yardi
7. Review and interpret general ledger activity to ensure completeness and accuracy
8. Partner with internal teams (Finance, Asset Management, etc.) to resolve issues and improve processes
9. Assist in enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
10. Mentor and support the development of staff accountants
11. Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate, investment, or private equity
• Prior audit and/or tax experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Experience supporting external audits
• Familiarity with lender and investor reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, lookups, complex workbooks)
• Experience with Yardi or similar accounting systems preferred
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities

CPA preferred but not required.

Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000. This position is eligible to participate in the company's annual discretionary bonus program.
