Role Description The Medical Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in New Port Richey, FL. This role manages the front desk by greeting patients, checking them in and out, verifying insurance information, and updating patient records. Daily responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, and coordinating with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow. The Medical Receptionist handles patient inquiries, collects copayments, prepares and organizes paperwork, and maintains a clean and orderly reception area. This role requires consistent professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to patient service. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Receptionist Duties skills, including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out processes, and handling patient inquiries. Candidates should possess Appointment Scheduling skills, including coordinating patient visits, confirming appointments, and managing scheduling changes. Candidates should possess Phone Etiquette skills, including answering calls professionally, directing calls appropriately, and accurately recording messages. Candidates should possess Medical Terminology knowledge to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff and to understand basic documentation. Candidates should possess familiarity with Medical Office environments, including working with electronic health records and maintaining patient confidentiality. Additional beneficial qualifications include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, reliable time management, and the ability to multitask in a busy setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a customer service mindset, and a professional demeanor are important for success in this role.
