Speech Language Pathologist

The position involves providing home-based care as part of a multidisciplinary team, focusing on speech-language pathology. The candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a variety of communication disorders.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans for patients with speech and language disorders, providing therapy and interventions tailored to individual patient needs, documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records using the Cerner EMR system, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, and ensuring compliance with Oasis standards and government-mandated documentation.

Qualifications include a valid Speech Language Pathologist license, BLS certification, experience with Oasis documentation, a minimum of one year of experience in home health care, and CCC-SLP credential preferred but not required.

The work schedule offers flexible shifts primarily from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a weekend requirement of working every third weekend. Holiday work will be required only during major holidays if necessary.

Candidates are expected to wear business attire with a white lab coat; jeans are not permitted.

A comprehensive floor-specific orientation will take approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks to complete.

Patient diagnoses will include orthopedic conditions, strokes, spinal injuries, and various speech disorders.

This position primarily covers the geographical regions of Marian and Arroyo Grande.
