BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required. Description: We are seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the ICU unit. This unit has a total of 38 beds and is a level II trauma center. The ICU serves a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients. The unit cares for post-operative open-heart patients and those on advanced support such as VV and VA ECMO, balloon pumps, Impella, and CRRT. Staffing includes around 125 team members, with 1 charge nurse for both day and night shifts and 16-18 staff members per shift. Patient ratios typically range from 2:1 to 1:1, depending on patient acuity. Key equipment includes Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, and ECMO devices. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates with prior Meditech experience or CVICU/CTICU experience are preferred. Typical procedures performed in this unit include bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, arterial and central line insertions, airway care, and frequent drip titrations. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong attention to detail. This role provides an opportunity to work in a warm and friendly environment with great collaboration among staff.
