This role is responsible for strengthening and expanding relationships with existing and prospective financial professionals through a combination of strategic outreach, digital engagement, and consultative support.The Annuity Sales Specialist will support financial professionals in understanding how to implement various annuity planning strategies and products into their practice. To support advisor and client challenges, the Annuity Sales Specialist must have a deep working knowledge of annuities, including the different types of annuities and when they are appropriate. They must have the ability to connect investor challenges to product solutions and educate financial professionals on how to implement these solutions into their practice.The position requires strong consultative skills and an ability to assist financial professionals with sales ideas, prospecting techniques, overcoming sales objections, unbiased product guidance and determining the best approach to closing sales opportunities, including developing strategies for point-of-sale meetings. The role will regularly interact with numerous departments including Regional Sales Teams, New Business, Contracting, and Operations.Key Responsibilities:Promote NFG Brokerage and the annuity solutions available through NFG to current and prospective financial professionals.Serve as subject matter expert for the different annuity product lines supported by the team consisting of, Fixed, Indexed, and Registered-Index Linked Annuities.Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance and suitability insights tailored to specific client scenarios.Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas and competitive product positioning and provide advisors with guidance as to best-in-class solutions and resources from our partnering carriers.Support advisor education on key investment challenges, including asset protection and retirement security.Provide market trend insights, contribute to marketing and educational initiatives, and deliver presentations via inbound/outbound calls, webinars, and one-on-one consultations.Advocate for the resources, tools, services, and support we provide our financial professionals.Perform additional duties as assigned.Experience Required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.2+ years of prior sales experience.Active FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations.Active Life, Accident, & Health license.Strong interpersonal, communication, and effective presentation/training skills.Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills, including adaptability to different personality types.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.Self-motivated with the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, having a desire to be part of a cohesive team.Willingness to learn and self-teach.Positive attitude and ambition to help others succeed.Really catch our eye with:A deep functional understanding of investment and protection products.Strong aptitude for technology and Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel).Ability to solve complex problems, focusing on results.Strong storytelling and presentation skills to convey value propositions effectively.Convey technical information to users in non-technical, clear terms.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining focus and accuracy.Job InfoJob Identification 6802Job Category Growth & SalesApply Before 12/30/2026, 08:00 AMJob Schedule Full timeLocations Des Moines - HubFinra Registration To Obtain Post HireDes Moines - Hub
