• Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Mesquite Gastroenterology and Surgery Center is a busy gastroenterology clinic seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We are looking for a healthcare professional who is committed to providing excellent patient care and enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions, provide follow-up care, and collaborate with the gastroenterologist and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and established GI patients.
• Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans within the scope of practice.
• Manage follow-up appointments and ongoing patient care.
• Order and review diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging as appropriate.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with applicable laws and practice policies.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up instructions.
• Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Communicate effectively with the physician, medical assistants, and other healthcare team members.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient clinic schedule and workflow.
• Follow HIPAA requirements, clinical protocols, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Arizona.
• National certification appropriate to the NP role.
• Current prescriptive authority, as applicable.
• Experience in gastroenterology is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team.
• Excellent bedside manner and commitment to patient satisfaction.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinic setting.
