Manager, Youth Clinical Care Services - Idaho

Title: Manager, Youth Clinical Care Services – Idaho (Grade 28) Overview This position manages a busy team of Youth Intensive Care Coordinators within the Youth Empowerment System of Care in Idaho. The role includes direct supervision, coordination of clinical and nonclinical staff, utilization management, quality improvement, and strategic planning. Responsibilities Manage, supervise, and coordinate a team of care management staff, including utilization and intensive care staff. Conduct care management reviews, ensuring compliance with Magellan policies and regional standards. Recruit, interview, select, and orient qualified staff members. Monitor staff performance, adherence to efficiency goals (case volume, closure rates, handle time, etc.), and conduct annual reviews, providing counseling and disciplinary action as necessary. Coordinate quality improvement activities under clinical management direction. Assist in developing strategic and operational goals and identify training needs. Analyze utilization problems, implement solutions to improve quality of care and cost efficiency. Collect pertinent clinical information, maintaining rapport with providers. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of post‑degree experience in a direct care clinical setting; managed care experience preferred. Minimum 1 year of direct supervisory experience. Current, active license in one of the following: BCBA, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, LPCC, LPC, PC, RN (BSN preferred; ASN considered with additional experience). Thorough knowledge of physical, medical specialty, and/or mental health community resources and providers. Extensive skill interpreting clinical treatment information and making referral/triage decisions. Must meet Magellan’s credentialing criteria for RN, Masters, or Doctoral level providers. Education Associate in Nursing (required). Master’s in Behavioral Health (preferred). Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred). Salary Salary Range: $83,890 – $142,610 (base salary).
