Program Manager

Position Overview Organizational Location: Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Operational Support Facilities Division. Vacancy located in Buffalo, NY. Key Responsibilities Oversee programs to determine progress against long‑range plans, including necessary personnel, funding, and resource adjustments. Recommend improvements in services, programs, and projects to meet short deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Serve as a liaison between program offices and government agencies, ensuring personnel support and compliance with policies. Provide technical assistance and direct support to management staff in all matters related to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements. Qualifications GS‑14: at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, performing duties described above. Experience includes paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps). Education: meets all qualification requirements, subject to verification. Background Investigation: all applicants must undergo a thorough background investigation including criminal history and drug use. Residency: must have resided in the United States for at least three of the last five years, unless a waiver is granted.
