Operations Manager

Position Overview As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will plan and execute daily operations within the General Merchandise warehouses. Your focus will be on achieving operational results that align with both company goals and individual performance objectives, ensuring outcomes consistently meet or exceed customer expectations for product quality, service reliability, speed, and accuracy. Job Description This role encompasses oversight of operational processes, strategic planning, safety protocols, financial performance, and employee engagement to guarantee the safety and security of the distribution center work teams, service providers, equipment, and physical assets. Responsibilities Review and evaluate performance of all distribution center functions, address performance gaps, and take corrective action as needed. Assess business conditions, evaluate emerging needs (e.g., seasonality, promotional events), and take action to improve service, reduce costs, and generate incremental revenue. Assist with preparation of the annual operating budget and evaluate proposed budgets to achieve overall company goals. Assist with the preparation, evaluation, and approval of capital expenditure proposals for facility and equipment upgrades. Direct adoption and use of improved processes, equipment, and facilities; account for incremental business results. Create high customer‑service expectations among team members, monitor results with customers, and take action to correct performance gaps. Maintain a safe work environment for team members and visitors in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations. Schedule 2nd Shift (United States of America) Environment Warehouse: Freezer (−20°F to 0°F) Warehouse: Perishable (28°F to 60°F) Warehouse: Grocery (50°F to 90°F) Skills & Knowledge Specialized Knowledge: Working knowledge of financial analysis and operational analysis. Special Skills: Managing processes, people management, dealing with complexity, deadline oriented. Physical Abilities: Safely and efficiently move products weighing up to 60 lbs.; stand/walk for up to 10–12 hrs. Qualifications Years of Experience: 7–10 years in retail operations, distribution, transportation, logistics, or supply‑chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education: Associate Degree (General Studies), Bachelor’s Degree (General Studies), General Equivalency Diploma (General Studies), or High School Diploma (General Studies).
