Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity Labor and Delivery nursing care in a high-volume unit averaging 500–600 deliveries per month across 31 rooms
• Circulate in the OR — required skill; candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections (eyes and thighs), and newborn assessments — required skill; candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Administer and monitor high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate; utilize electronic fetal monitoring and EPIC
• Care for a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and patients supported through Adult Recovery Services and community care clinics
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, and potentially to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care, as unit needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, high-volume environment; high-risk L&D experience required
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR and perform newborn care including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections
• Proficiency with EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Experience working with substance recovery patient populations in a clinical setting
