Percy Lead Baker The Lead Baker, also known as Pastry Key Employee, at Percy supports the Kitchen Manager in the operation of the back of the house: ordering, holding high standards, customer service, food quality, and safety. In order to be successful in these responsibilities, the PKE must love the restaurant business, exude the core values, and lead with heart and humor. Essential Functions Constantly works with kitchen equipment and tools Occasionally positions self to clean under counters and inside equipment Constantly communicates with staff Constantly monitors food quality for taste and visual presentation Frequently moves products weighing up to 50lbs Frequently works in varied temperature conditions Requirements Love the restaurant industry Assist team members to achieve their goals Support the Kitchen Manager in all aspects of back of house operations Identify & develop future leaders Maintain a fun and professional work environment Maintain standards: food quality, visual and taste standards Support the line and front of house staff Maintaining an upbeat kitchen energy Quickly and professionally support the Kitchen Manager in team communications Support front of house leadership & team Maintain safety and sanitation standards including health inspection high scores Literacy in computers and basic math Strong skills of observation Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills Great oral and written communication Exceptional follow-through skills Consistently be the model team member: Consistently on time for scheduled shifts Consistently complete the tasks by assigned times Assist with “dish” upkeep Ensure that baked goods WOW guests by maintaining our high-quality standards Execute required recipes using accurate and consistent methods Ensure baked goods have an appealing finished product Constantly monitor and maintain food standards for recipe adherence, production, appearance, correctness, quality, and safety Complete applicable check lists, order guides and count sheets on time
