Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons welcomes an exceptional Software Engineer skilled in C++ and CUDA programming to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the Parsons team supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you will have access to state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and subject matter expertise in the areas of radar, M&S, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Working as part of our high-caliber, dynamic team, you will support the advancement of approaches to develop and implement signal/data processing techniques and new radar concepts within a laboratory environment.The position requires technical coordination with internal and external organizations to support requirements definition, near real-time C++ implementations of ground-breaking Digital Signal Processing algorithms, and coordination with teams implementing similar algorithms within MATLAB, as well as within System on a Chip (SoC) embedded solutions (RFSOC). The simulation is part of a fast-paced work environment with high visibility and high opportunity.Responsibilities:Develop algorithms for Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Digital Beam Forming (DBF), and general I/Q processing; implement these algorithms in C++ or CUDA and integrate into distributed simulation environmentProvide expertise in signal processing, particularly in the processing of radar I/Q dataAnalyze gaps and tradeoffs in existing simulations environment, and develop corresponding Courses of Action (COAs)Communicate proposed approaches and findings to all levels of leadershipCollaborate in technical discussions to assist with near- and long-term system planningPrepare technical reports and conference papers describing findings and future workWrite test procedures for algorithm evaluation and analysisManage code quality through version control, automated software builds, and automated unit testingRequired Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an ABET-accredited institution 3+ years of implementation experience in modern C++Active TS/SCI clearanceExperience with CUDA programming / memory managementExperience with GIT or other version controlExperience designing, developing, and maintaining production-quality software using object-oriented programming principles, software design patterns, and clean coding practices.Experience with software development tools and practices, including build automation, debugging, code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing in a Linux-based environment.Desired Qualifications:2+ years of experience in radar system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysisProactive continuous learner, ideally with public repositories on GitLab, GitHub, etc.Quality technical writing skillsDevelopment experience on Linux (Redhat)Good understanding of unit testing in C++ and JAVA environments1+ years of experience with MATLAB1+ years of experience with PythonExperience with multithreading and/or C++ optimizationSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
