Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing direct support and specialized instruction as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract position starts as soon as possible and offers the opportunity to work 30-35 hours per week with a diverse caseload of 29 students—ranging from early childhood through grade 12—across multiple sites in the district near Keller, TX.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Previous experience working in educational settings with DHH students strongly preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) highly valued
• Ability to design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to students from early childhood to high school who are Deaf or hard of hearing
• Adapt curriculum and teaching techniques to students’ individual abilities and IEP goals
• Foster language development, communication skills, and academic achievement
• Consult regularly with general education staff, specialists, and families to maximize student progress
• Monitor and document growth, adjusting interventions and supports as needed
• Advocate for student needs and provide resource support within the school community

This assignment offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $42 to $50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
