Commercial HVAC Install Technician

Overview For over 75 years, Magnolia Plumbing, LLC has proudly served the DC metropolitan area, delivering reliable solutions for both residential and commercial customers across heating and cooling (HVAC), plumbing, wastewater management, and underground site utility work. We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our Install Department. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting a wide range of commercial HVAC systems while maintaining high-quality workmanship and delivering excellent customer service. We are offering a $5,000 signing bonus for licensed technicians. Competitive opportunities are also available for experienced unlicensed candidates. Responsibilities Install, service, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members. Deliver high‑quality workmanship and customer service at all times. Maintain proper truck stock and inventory levels. Keep company vehicles clean and follow maintenance schedules. Follow safety procedures and company standards on all job sites. Identify opportunities to improve service quality and customer experience. Requirements 5–10 years of commercial HVAC installation experience. EPA/CFC Certification required. Journeyman HVAC License and Gasfitter License required. Experience with boilers, cooling towers, dry coolers, hydronic systems, water source heat pumps, and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. Experience with basic controls and low‑voltage troubleshooting. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance. Ability to perform effectively in fast‑paced commercial environments. Benefits & Culture Company Truck & Fuel Card.
