Job Description:

This role involves providing care in a 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU unit with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1, depending on acuity. The unit has highly trained charge nurses and educators for orientation and supports cardiothoracic surgical care with advanced equipment like GE monitors and Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities:

• IABP management
• IMPELLA procedures
• Hemodynamics monitoring
• Frequent ambulation of patients
• Pulling Chest Tubes
• Pulling Pacer wires
• LVADS care
• Intubation/Extubation

Requirements:

• BLS/ACLS Certification
• Critical Care training
• 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience
• Strong interest in surgical heart care
• High energy, upbeat personality
