Integrity Trade Services is currently hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician for a full-time opportunity with a well-established industrial company!

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Grand Rapids
Pay Rate: $25-$28/hour, depending on experience
Shift: 1st Shift: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Start Date: Immediate openings available.

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment and systems to support safe and efficient operations. This position will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and help maintain equipment reliability in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on production and auxiliary equipment.

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and adjust mechanical equipment and components.

• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Diagnose equipment issues using mechanical schematics, technical manuals, measurements, and other technical information.

• Perform corrective maintenance and repairs based on operational needs and priorities.

• Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, findings, and equipment modifications.

• Identify potential equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

• Participate in equipment failure investigations and root cause analysis.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance team members when needed.

• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when assigned.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, company policies, and PPE requirements.

• Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, equipment performance, and reliability.

• Perform occasional fabrication and other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of relevant education and experience.

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and technical manuals.

• Ability to take accurate measurements using both metric and standard units.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs and work independently.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is required.

• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience maintaining industrial presses, compressors, slitters, rewind equipment, or similar industrial machinery.

• Experience with preventive or predictive maintenance programs.

• Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

• Technical school, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance training.

• Experience providing technical training or guidance to other employees.

• Experience coordinating outside contractors or service providers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, position, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in various positions as needed.

• Ability to use hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

• Ability to work at heights or in restricted spaces when properly trained and equipped.

• Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment.
