Medical Lab ScientistWest Reading, PennsylvaniaThe Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for obtaining or receiving specimens, performing clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understanding method principles, performing quality control, performing preventive maintenance, and interpreting results accurately, acceptably and within critical limits. The MLS works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.Full Time Day Shift: M-F 7AM-3:30PM; Every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holidayFull Time Evening Shift: M-F 2:30PM-11:00PM; Every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holidayFull Time Night Shift: M-F 10:30PM-7AM; Every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holidayPart Time Night Shift: M-F 10:30PM-7AM; Every 3rd weekend & every 3rd holidayIdeal candidate would be ASCP certified with clinical laboratory science experience in high volume lab setting.Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science - OR - Bachelor's in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program - OR - MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's DegreeCertification and Licensure: ASCP eligibleRequired SkillsComputer Skills to include use and navigationExcellent Communications SkillsMultitasking
