Medical Assistant - Certified (Dermatology)

Sign‑on Bonus Eligible new hires may receive a sign‑on bonus. Overview This Medical Assistant (MA) role in the Dermatology clinic is part of a four‑person MA team that works closely with nurses, physicians (MDs and APPs), and other clinical staff. The primary responsibilities include rooming patients, performing back‑office tasks, and supporting the MA model of care for after‑visit instructions. This position may occasionally work at Bellevue and other Seattle Children’s locations and may require evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Rooming: open/stock rooms, close rooms, review patient health history, and prepare procedures. Back‑office: clinic preparation, records review, prior authorizations, and message management. MA Model of Care: support providers during visits, write after‑visit summaries, and provide patient/family education. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Required Credentials Current Medical Assistant certification licensed by the Washington Department of Health. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS). Preferred Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program. National Medical Assistant Association certification (eligible for premium). Experience in Pediatrics, Urgent Care, or medical screening and immunization. Compensation $26.51 – $39.76 per hour (based on full‑time employment of 2,080 hours per year). Offsets may vary within this range depending on equity, skills, experience, and expertise.
