Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of ultrasound examinations including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during all procedures, thoroughly explaining each step with care
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Utilize and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately while ensuring patient records are kept up to date in the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
