Radiologic Technologist - Acute Care Hospital

A hospital-based imaging department in Northern Wyoming is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an ARRT-certified Rad Tech looking for a broad general radiology role within a collaborative hospital environment.


This position offers exposure to a wide range of patient populations and imaging procedures across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and portable imaging settings. The team is looking for a technologist who is comfortable working independently, participating in call coverage, and collaborating closely with nursing staff, providers, and fellow imaging professionals.


Job Responsibilities:


• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians across multiple patient care settings


• Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety


• Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment throughout the hospital including ER, ICU, recovery, and inpatient units


• Prepare and administer contrast media as appropriate within scope and department protocols


• Assess patient condition and review orders prior to imaging procedures


• Maintain imaging documentation, patient records, and exam information for quality and billing purposes


• Participate in departmental quality assurance and equipment monitoring processes


Minimum Qualifications:


• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program


• Current ARRT certification required


• BLS certification required


• Ability to participate in diagnostic radiology call rotation


• Strong understanding of radiographic positioning, exposure techniques, radiation safety, and patient care standards


• Comfortable working with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patient populations


• Strong communication and patient interaction skills


• Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative within a smaller hospital team environment
