Details Work in a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit within a hospital setting Care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients Perform and support vaginal deliveries and C-sections Patient ratios are approximately 1:1 for labor, 5-6:1 for postpartum, and 5-6:1 for nursery Uses GE fetal monitors Charts in Meditech and CPN EMR systems Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 13-week assignment Required to work on-call approximately every third weekend, with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule Requirements Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring At least 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience required Experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes preferred No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients Must wear navy blue scrubs; Maternal Infant Unit nurses wear pink badges for infant security Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-739877.
