The political desk manages CNN’s minute-by-minute political coverage and is a vital part of the network’s newsgathering apparatus. Serves as a key point person for field teams, including correspondents and embedded producers, facilitating interaction with all of CNN's television and digital platforms. Tracks future events and plans coverage assignments, leveraging editorial judgment to right-size resource deployment to match CNN priorities Coordinates logistics for all deployments, including field teams’ travel to and between events, video transmission and equipment strategies, security considerations, and any pooling responsibilities Manages the specific requirements of all television liveshots and digital videos, ensuring editorial content #J-18808-Ljbffr CNN
