We're hiring an Associate, Investments at Enduring Ventures. Location: Los Angeles — in-person Reports to: VP, Investments ABOUT ENDURING VENTURES Enduring Ventures is a permanent-capital holding company inspired by Berkshire Hathaway. We acquire and grow wonderful businesses — often in carve-out, divestiture, or special-situations contexts — and our preferred holding period is forever. We are not in the business of flipping companies; we are in the business of compounding value for decades. That single fact shapes everything: how we price, how we structure, who we hire, and how we behave once we own a business. Today we own 20+ companies across software, industrials, consumer, and more. THE ROLE We are hiring an Associate to work directly with the VP of Investments, supporting live deal execution across the full lifecycle — sourcing, screening, diligence, modeling, structuring, and close. This is a true associate seat: you will carry real responsibility on real transactions from week one and your work will be in the room where decisions get made, with the VP leading and mentoring you on each deal. We are looking for someone with intellectual horsepower, drive, technical depth, and polish. If that is you, the ceiling here is uncapped. WHAT YOU'LL DO Build and own integrated three-statement models (linked IS / BS / CF) and LBO / returns models, and pressure-test the assumptions behind them Run diligence workstreams end-to-end and synthesize messy private-company data into a clear view of business quality Draft IC memos, deal screens, and management-meeting materials that are right the first time Support sourcing and founder-direct outreach, and help triage inbound deal flow against our mandate Support financing — help coordinate lenders and prepare materials across the capital stack (ABL, term debt, seller notes) Interface directly with sellers, intermediaries, lenders, and advisors — represent EV credibly with senior executives, banker MDs, and owner-operators alike Help drive many parallel workstreams across multiple live deals at once, without dropping the details that matter WHO YOU ARE Exceptionally smart. You reason quickly and precisely, and you get sharper, not flustered, when pushed three layers deep. Driven to win. You have a track record of being the best in the room — top of your analyst class, mandates won, or comparable evidence — and you take ownership of outcomes. A relentless worker. You produce a high volume of high-quality output under deadline and stay reliable when the load is heaviest. Technically excellent. Strong underwriting instincts, fluent integrated modeling, and real business-fundamentals judgment — you know what actually drives a company, not just the cells in a spreadsheet. A social chameleon. You build trust fast and are equally credible with a university-endowment CIO and a blue-collar business owner. An owner, not a flipper. You are energized by building durable value over a long horizon rather than engineering a quick exit. BACKGROUND Two to four years in investment banking or private equity is the target profile. We will also seriously consider exceptional candidates from search funds, SMB operating roles, or top-tier consulting who can demonstrate the same horsepower and technical foundation. Exposure to distressed, carve-out, or special-situations transactions is a plus. Degree pedigree matters less than evidence that you are genuinely elite.
