The Talent Specialist is responsible for all talent acquisition activities, including
identifying, recruiting, and screening candidates for Vista Care. They will
continuously be innovative and proactive with Recruitment. Under the direction of the Director of Employee Relations, the successful applicant will use a variety of recruitment approaches and strategies. The Talent Specialist will be dedicated to finding the best talent available to support Vista Care's vision of providing the
highest quality care globally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Talent Specialist is responsible for all talent acquisition activities, including
identifying, recruiting, and screening candidates for Vista Care. They will
continuously be innovative and proactive with Recruitment. Under the direction of the Director of Employee Relations, the successful applicant will use a variety of recruitment approaches and strategies. The Talent Specialist will be dedicated to finding the best talent available to support Vista Care's vision of providing the
highest quality care globally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with the respective hiring managers in the divisions they are supporting to fully understand the requirements, duties and qualifications desired for open positions
- Screens applications and inquiries in a prompt manner within 24 hours
- Provides proactive recruitment strategies such as attending job fairs, posting flyers, attending conferences, sending Indeed and LinkedIn messages and other applicable modes of communication to solicit passive and active candidates
- Partners with trade schools, nursing schools, colleges, chambers of commerce and other sources in order to attract passive candidates
- Handles a significant volume of open positions and works to find the best talent for those openings
- Promotes the company's reputation as an employer of choice
- Conducts phone, google meet, and in-person interviews
- Creates and sends offer letters, as well as all mandated pre-hire paperwork based on location and job
- Conducts background checks, DMV checks, employment verification, and reference checks
- Ensure all new hires are properly and accurately onboarded into the company's HRIS
- Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection and onboarding process
- Follow up with hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether an offer will be made and to solicit feedback of applicants. Collects feedback on candidates that are unsuccessful throughout the recruitment process
- Take interview notes as a part of the selection process
- Work with Operations to ensure the Vista Care positions list is up to date and accurate
- Creates an onboarding folder for all applicants who receive an offer of employment and uploads all documentation into the employees folder
- Routinely reviews and updates job postings on all internal and external sites
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations for all states and jurisdictions that Vista Care has operations in.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the People Division and operations team
- Complete required, on-going training requirements and competency levels within Vista Care and State/County required timeframes.
- Other duties as assigned
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of Title VII and relevant laws surrounding arrest/convictions
- Proper interviewing skills
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office and Business Google
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Must maintain a pleasant and professional working relationship with all employees
- High level of competency using computers, multiple programs, and databases
- None
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during work hours
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
- Prompt and regular attendance is a requirement
