Breast Surgeon Or Surgical Oncologist

Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), a nationally ranked cancer center and flagship tertiary/quaternary care hospital in Downtown Dallas, is seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon or Surgical Oncologist with a concentration in breast surgery to lead our multidisciplinary breast surgery team.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of breast surgery at a leading academic medical center, working alongside a dedicated team in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Leadership opportunity at a USNWR-ranked cancer center and Level I Trauma Center
NAPBC-accredited program with a robust High-Risk Breast Screening Program
Collaborative environment with established surgical oncologists and integrated multidisciplinary specialty support
Employed through HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN), affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Health
Unified EPIC electronic health record system across the Baylor Scott & White network
Opportunities for graduate and undergraduate medical education, including teaching breast fellows, residents, and academic appointments through Texas A&M Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine
Access to research infrastructure via Baylor Scott & White Sammons Cancer Center and Baylor Scott & White Research Institute, including participation in a statewide biorepository with robust portfolio of cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic breast cancer studies for early and late-stage disease, academic affiliation with TGEN and soon to open state of the art Texas Cancer Interception Institute

Ideal Candidate:

Mid-Career fellowship-trained in breast surgery or surgical oncology with a focus on breast surgery
Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to multidisciplinary care
Interest in clinical research, education, and program development

Compensation based on experience

Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialist
