Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse SupervisorPSA Penn Terminals is looking for a forward thinking, highly motivated candidate to work in a fast-paced environment, to oversee the daily warehouse operation. The supervisor would be responsible for 15 to 20 Union employees handling container packing/unpacking, truck loading, and warehouse inventory. The supervisor is responsible for a combination of administrative, managerial, and operational tasks.We provide CFS services to 4 shipping line customers to move cargo between containers and OTR trucks, Warehouse supervisors are responsible for overseeing these operations and controlling warehouse inventory.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Direct supervision of union checkers and heavy equipment operators.Effective warehouse planning and inventory control.Overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo onto and from vessels, trucks, and other transport modes.Enforcement of internal operating policies and safety procedures.Interacting with the customers on a daily basis and ensuring customer satisfaction.Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.Prepare reports on warehouse performance, such as productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and production, to facilitate smooth operations.Managing container inventories and optimizing container utilization.Coordinating and providing timely information to vessel operators about cargo status and availability.All other duties as assignedKnowledge & Skills:Analytical: The individual synthesizes complex or diverse information.Judgment: Displays willingness to make decisions;
