Corrections Registered Nurse (RN)

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting. Minimum Requirements: Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age RN – Corrections Position Overview A correctional facility in Fairfax, VA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for night shift contract opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential healthcare services in a correctional setting while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of nursing experience. Previous correctional, psychiatric, emergency department, or medical-surgical experience is preferred but not required.
