We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to help physicians detect, diagnose, and treat various conditions. You'll work in a collaborative healthcare environment where safety, precision, and patient-centered care are top priorities. Nuclear Medicine Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety standards and physician directives.
- Operate gamma cameras, PET/CT, and SPECT equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective patient care.
- Educate patients about procedures, addressing any concerns with clarity and compassion.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT(N) certification.
- State licensure (if applicable).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- In-depth knowledge of radiation safety and imaging protocols.
- Strong technical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with PET/CT preferred but not required.
