Mitigation Manager

Mitigation ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Mitigation Manager to lead the mitigation division for an established restoration construction company. This individual will oversee mitigation projects from the initial emergency response through completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with water, fire, smoke, mold, and other property-loss mitigation, along with strong leadership, customer service, and project management skills.Responsibilities include managing mitigation projects from initial loss through completion, overseeing water, fire, smoke, mold, and storm-related restoration projects, coordinating emergency response and ensuring timely mobilization, supervising mitigation technicians and subcontractors, conducting job-site inspections and assessing scope of work, developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules, monitoring project progress, labor, materials, and equipment, coordinating with homeowners, insurance adjusters, property managers, and other stakeholders, reviewing and approving estimates, change orders, and project documentation, ensuring proper documentation of job-site conditions and completed work, managing drying, demolition, cleaning, contents, and remediation processes as applicable, ensuring projects comply with company standards, safety requirements, and industry guidelines, tracking equipment and materials used on mitigation projects, assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of mitigation staff, resolving customer concerns and maintaining strong client relationships, monitoring project profitability and production metrics, communicating project status and issues to company leadership, and ensuring proper closeout and handoff of completed mitigation projects.Qualifications include 3+ years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery, previous leadership or management experience preferred, strong knowledge of water mitigation and structural drying, experience with fire/smoke restoration, mold remediation, or storm restoration is a plus, experience working with insurance claims and adjusters, strong understanding of restoration estimating and documentation, ability to read scopes of work and understand construction processes, excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Preferred certifications include IICRC WRT – Water Restoration Technician, IICRC ASD – Applied Structural Drying, IICRC FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician, IICRC AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, and Xactimate experience is highly preferred.What we offer includes competitive salary and benefits, opportunity for advancement, established company with a strong reputation in the restoration industry, supportive team environment, company vehicle/equipment as applicable, and ongoing training and professional development.If you are an experienced restoration professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.
