Starting wage of $34.49. Job Location (Short): Peoria, Illinois, USA, 61639 Position: Onsite

Job Overview Komatsu's Machinists use machine tools, such as lathes and milling machines to produce precision metal parts utilized in all models of Komatsu's mining trucks.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate any and all machines assigned to a machining area.
• May be required to operate more than one machine at any given time.
• Will perform washing and deburring of parts as required.
• May perform appropriate assembly functions within the work area.
• Operates appropriate heating and chilling equipment to facilitate the assembly process of the hydraulic product.
• Works from engineering drawings, routings, and procedure sheets.
• Ability to work effectively with other employees within the work area or team.
• Responsible for quality of own work.
• Will work under supervision, which can be minimal at times.
• Will train other operators as directed.
• Will be required to use information systems as necessary to perform job duties.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Three or more years of experience as a Machinist during which the applicant was responsible for the setup and operation of one or more machining centers.
• Possess the ability to work from technical drawings, routing, and procedures.
• Able to meet both production requirements and quality requirements for machining work.
• Will be required to complete a physical commensurate with DOL Medium duty work requirements which includes drug testing.
