Am Bartender

Description

The hotel bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to hotel guests, maintains a clean and safe bar area, and delivers high-end customer service . They manage cash and room-charge payments, check legal IDs, and keep the bar fully stocked.


This will be AM/Afternoon shift role.

Responsibilities

• Drink Preparation: Mix cocktails, pour wine, and serve beer using exact standard recipes and measurements.
• Guest Service: Greet hotel visitors, offer menu suggestions, and answer local or property-specific questions.
• Safety & Compliance: Check IDs, monitor guest alcohol consumption, and prevent over-serving.
• Financial Management: Handle cash, credit cards, and process precise room-charge billing or coupon tickets.
• Cleanliness & Stocking: Restock ice, glassware, and liquor, wipe down counters, wash dishes, and empty trash.

Qualifications

• Experience: One to two years of bartending experience, ideally within a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant.
• Certifications: Valid local alcohol server training or food handler certificates (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).
• Knowledge: Deep familiarity with classic drink recipes, wine pairings, and basic mixology.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long shifts (up to 8 hours) and lift supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Soft Skills: Friendly personality, strong communication, and patience when handling busy or stressful environments.
